The BMW M3 Competition Package was a sportier variant of the F80 M3 that debuted for the 2016 model year. The Competition Package featured improved suspension, distinct front seats, and improvements to the differential and stability control. In addition to those changes, the Competition also received a tuned 444hp twin-turbo 3.0L inline six engine, which drove the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual or 7 speed DCT automatic transmission. Production of the F80 BMW M3 Competition lasted until 2018, when the next generation G80 BMW M3 was introduced.
