The BMW M4 Competition Package was a variant of the F82 BMW M4 that was introduced for the 2016 model year. The Competition Package, which was offered in both Coupe and Convertible body styles, featured various suspension improvements, weight-saving measures, and increased power in order to create a more focused driving experience when compared to the Base Model M4. While fitted with the same S55 twin-turbo 3.0L inline six as found in the standard M4, the Competiton Package saw the engine's output climb to 444hp. Power from the engine was sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual or 7 speed DCT automatic transmission. Production of the F82 BMW M4 ended in 2020 with the introduction of the next generation G82 BMW M4.
