The ninth generation of Cadillac Sixty Special was unveiled for the 1965 model year. This updated iteration of the Sixty Special was built on a longer platform, and now offered the luxury 'Brougham' trim option. The ninth generation of Sixty Special was offered as a V8 powered four door sedan, and was in production until 1970, when it was replaced by the Tenth Generation Cadillac Sixty Special. It is common to see the 9th gen Sixty Special labeled as a Fleetwood Brougham.
