Replacing the Task Force series of trucks, the C/K was Chevrolet's new full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2002 in the United States. "C" indicated two-wheel drive and "K" indicated four-wheel drive. Trim levels included the Cheyenne, Apache, and Silverado among others. The C/K series was produced across four generations: the first generation was from 1960 to 1966, the second generation from 1967 to 1972, the third generation from 1973 to 1991, and the fourth generation, also known as the GMT400, from 1988 to 2002. The aging C/K light-duty pickup truck was replaced with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra names in 1999.
