The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport was a limited edition variant of the C4 Corvette that was offered for the 1996 model year. The C4 Grand Sport was created to commemorate the end of C4 production, and was built in Convertible and Semi-Convertible (often referred to as Coupe) body styles. These cars were powered by Chevrolet's LT4 engine, which was a naturally aspirated 5.7L V8 that had an output of 330hp. Drive from this engine was sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission. The C4 Corvette Grand Sport saw 1,000 examples built, with 190 being convertibles, and 810 being semi-convertibles.
