The First Generation Chevrolet K5 Blazer was introduced with the standard Base Model for the 1969 model year. These two door SUVs were available with four engine options and in rear wheel drive or four wheel drive configuration. Engines offered included a 250ci (4.1L) or 292ci (4.8L) inline six, while V8 options were the 307ci (5.0L) or the top of the line 350ci (5.7L). These engines were paired to manual or automatic transmission options. The notable CST (Custom Sport Truck) trim was available on the K5 Blazer, featuring a deluxe interior and various external touches. Production of the 1st Gen Chevrolet K5 Blazer lasted until 1972, when it was replaced by the Second Generation Chevrolet K5 Blazer.
