The Chevrolet Cosworth Vega was a limited edition, high performance variant of the Chevrolet Vega. Introduced for the 1975 model year, the Cosworth Vega was the product of a Chevrolet's desire for a more power engine for the Vega. Collaborating with Cosworth Engineering, a 2.0L inline four engine was developed, not only producing the desired power, but also featuring excellent emissions. These engines were put in the Vega creating the Cosworth Vega. Only 3,508 examples were built before the end of production in 1976.
