The Daimler Double Six was a series of luxury cars that were introduced for the 1973 model year. Previously, the Double Six name had been used by Daimler for a range of V12 engined luxury cars, but this new iteration of the Double Six saw the name used for what were largely rebadged V12-engined Jaguar XJs. While the vast majority of modern Double Sixes were sold as four door sedans, a coupe version was available from 1975 until 1977. Over the course of production, the Double Six remained based on the Jaguar XJ, until Jaguar stopped using their V12 engine for Daimlers in 1997.
