The Dodge W Series was a family of trucks introduced for the 1941 model year. The W Series succeeded the T & V Series, and was offered in a range of configurations, including 1/2 ton, 1 ton, 2 ton, and 3 ton. These rear wheel drive trucks were powered by a range of inline six engines and were commonly referred to as the 'Job-Rated' trucks. Notable variants such as the 1/2 ton WC Express (not to be confused with the military WC Series), 3/4 ton WD-15, and WF-32 Stakebed were just a few of the popular variants offered. Production of the W Series lasted until 1947, when it was replaced by the Dodge B Series.
