The Ferrari F355 Spider - Manual (convertible) debuted in 1995 shortly after the F355 Berlinetta - Manual, along with the semi-convertible F355 GTS - Manual. A first for a Ferrari automobile, the F355 Spider had a semi-automatic soft-top that was powered electronically. The 355 Spider - Manual proved to be one of the most popular F355 variants, with a total production of 2,664. Eventually, another 1,053 were produced with the automatic F1 transmission. The F355 Spider's direct successor was the Ferrari 360 Spider - Manual for model year 2000.
