The Ford F-250 was a variant of the 4th Gen F-Series Super Duty that was introduced for the 2017 model year. The F-250 Super Duty was a heavy-duty truck that was built in standard, extended (SuperCab), and Crew Cab passenger configurations, with short or long truck bed options. The standard gasoline engine was the 6.2L 'Boss' V8, but an optional 6.7L 'Powerstroke' V8 diesel option. From 2020 onwards a new 7.3L 'Godzilla' V8 was optional. A 6 speed automatic transmission was initially the sole gearbox option until a 10 speed automatic debuted. Regardless of engine or transmission these trucks were built with rear or all wheel drive. Production of the 4th Gen F-250 ended in 2022, when it was replaced by the 5th Gen F-250 Super Duty.
