The Ford Focus is a series of compact cars introduced for the 2000 model year in North America. Over the course of production, the Focus has been offered in wagon, sedan, and estate body styles, but the model is most well known for its hatchback versions. The Focus was originally introduced in Europe in 1998, and while the North American Focus was discontinued in 2018, the model remains in production in many parts of the world. Three generations have been built, but the European (worldwide) and American generations vary in years and variants. Ford also actively participated in a wide variety of motorsports with the Focus, leading to notable performance versions such as the Focus ST, Focus RS, and Focus RS500.
