The Focus Mk3 was introduced in 2011 and marked the return to a global platform, unifying European and US models under a single architecture of the Ford Focus. It was available in 3 and 5 door hatchbacks, sedans and station wagons. Its more modern and efficient design included improvements in interior quality, technological equipment and a wider engine range. Naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines were offered, including the 1.0L, 1.5L and 2.0L EcoBoost, as well as diesel versions in Europe. Transmissions ranged from 5 and 6 speed manuals to automatics, including the dual-clutch Powershift. The most notable sporty versions were the Focus ST and the Focus RS, although Standard Variants were also offered. The Ford Focus Mk3 was produced until 2018.
