In the summer of 1992, Ford would present yet another Mustang variant, the Ford Mustang LX "Summer Edition." The car was only available in convertible body style and was sprayed in Vibrant Red paint with a white interior and a white top, along with matching white rims. A 302ci V8 was placed under the hood to ensure brisk summer driving. The rare upgrade package was also referred to as the “Limited Edition,” “Summer Special,” or “Feature Car.” It is believed that only 2,000 to 3,000 Summer Edition Mustangs were produced in 1992. The tradition would continue for the 1993 model year with a yellow and whilte Feature Edition Mustang.
