The 1994 to 1998 Ford Mustang GT was a variant of the SN-95 Fourth Generation Mustang that featured unique styling and performance. Both a convertible and coupe body style were offered. Exterior features included 16-inch cast-aluminum wheels, two-piece headlights, a running pony grille emblem, added side skirts, rear spoiler, dual exhaust, two different style taillights, horizontal lenses for 1994-1995, and vertical lenses for 1996-1998. The interior was offered in cloth or leather upholstery and with an optional Mach 460 sound system and CD player. The small-block V8 engine generated 215hp and 285 lb ft of torque when new. Horsepower ratings increased to 225hp in 1998, although displacement decreased from 5.0L to 4.6L in 1996. Transmission options included a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Handling benefited from longer control arms, new 5-lug spindles, anti-roll bars, and chassis stiffening. The SN-99 Fourth Generation Mustang GT was its successor in 1999.
