The first-generation Lincoln Premiere was introduced for the 1955 model year. It was designated as Lincoln's mid range model during its production. All first-generation Premieres were available as a sedan, coupe, or convertible, and were fitted with a 6.0L V8 engine. Only in production until 1957, the first-generation Lincoln Premiere was replaced by the Second Generation Lincoln Premiere.
