After its introduction in the W113 SL-Class, the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was reintroduced in the R107 SL-Class as a convertible/roadster with standard soft top and optional hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. The SLC (C107) derivative was a 2-door hardtop coupe with normal rear seats. The SLC is commonly referred to as an 'SL coupe'. They were produced between 1974 and 1985 with a 2.8L inline six engine.
