The Twin-Cam was capable of generating up to 108hp from a DOHC aluminum cylinder head version of the B-Series 1.6L inline four engine, which made it the most powerful MGA to ever be built by the factory. The Twin-Cam was offered in both coupe and roadster body styles, with a 4 speed manual sending drive to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, the Twin-Cam engine had many issues, which eventually lead to the creation of a low compression version of the engine, but by that point, the car's reputation had taken a big hit and demand plummeted. Production of the MG A Twin-Cam ended in 1960.
