The MG TF continued with the traditional sportscar styling of the predecessors, though a new radiator grille and headlamps better integrated into the front fenders signalled a concession to modernity. The TF used an improved version of the 1250cc XPAG engine with a higher compression ratio for additional horsepower. It was succeeded by the MG TF 1500 for 1955.
