The seventh generation of Oldsmobile 88 was introduced for the 1971 model year. The 88 was known as the Delta 88 during this generation, and was offered in convertible, sedan, and coupe body styles. The seventh generation 88 was powered by a 5.7L or 7.5L V8 engine, and was built until 1976 when it was replaced by the Eighth Generation Oldsmobile 88.
