The Pontiac GTO 1st Gen cars sat just above the LeMans in the Pontiac product line-up. The GTO could be ordered as a hard top, coupe, or convertible. The hardtop and convertible had no B-pillar, but the coupe version did. The GTO was offered in manual or automatic transmissions and with 389ci or 400ci V8 motors. Production by the end of 1967 reached almost 300,000 units.
