The Porsche 911 Carrera 997.2 is the base rear-wheel drive 911 available between 2009 and 2012. An evolution of the 997.1 Carrera, the engine remained at 3.6 liters, but now produced 340hp (instead of 321hp). Approximately 7,190 coupes were produced and 3,908 cabriolets, for a total production count of 11,098, in both 6-speed manual and automatic (PDK). A limited production version known as the 911 Black Edition was sold in 2012. Overlapping with its last production units, it was succeeded by the Carrera 991.1 starting in 2012.
