The Stutz Vertical Eight was a series of luxury cars introduced in 1926. The Vertical Eight was created after Harry C. Stutz had left the company he created, and new management decided to focus on high end luxury cars, as the brand had previously focused on high performance cars. The Vertical Eight was named for its inline eight engine which featured two spark plugs per cylinder. This series of cars was initially launched with the Model AA variant, followed by other variants such as the Model BB, Model M, Model MA, and Model MB. Besides the Standard Variants, the two most notable variants were the SV-16 and the DV-32, these featured powerful and advanced engines that make them some of the most desirable examples of a Stutz car. Production of the Stutz Vertical Eight ended in 1935.
