The Willys Americar was a series of cars introduced in 1937. While this family of cars was only officially known as the Americar for 1941 and 1942, the name is now commonly used to refer to a wider generation of cars. The Americar followed the Willys Model 77, and was offered in sedan, station wagon, coupe, and pickup body styles. These cars were rear wheel drive and were powered by a 2.2L inline four engine. The Willys Americar is a very popular base for hot rods and customizing, leading to very few original examples left in the world.
