Originally built in Flint, Michigan, this base model 1972 Buick Skylark is equipped with a 350ci V8 engine topped by an aftermarket intake manifold and a four-barrel carburetor. The vehicle has three speeds that are automatically shifted by way of a GM TH350 transmission. The odometer shows 67,177 miles, but the true mileage is unknown. A recent repaint followed by the aftermarket rims, Vintage Air a/c, and B&M shifter are modern updates made by the current owner. The car is also outfitted with new bucket seats, power steering, power brakes, aftermarket headers, and a tachometer. The current owner claims to have changed the oil every year despite only using the car for weekend drives and car shows. It currently resides in Goodyear, Arizona.

This Skylark is the recipient of a recent refurbishment, including paint and front seat upholstery. The paint shows well despite some bubbling in the lower doors, which is represented in the third-party photos and inspection report. The green interior is accommodated with new black bucket seats and aftermarket instrumentation. The car is quieter thanks to the sound deadener that the owner claims was installed. Some corrosion is present beneath the car and on the front bumper, in addition to some chips in the grill and a broken headlight bezel. The new owner will need to replace the tires. A recent third-party inspection rated the exterior of the car at 3.5 out of 5 and the interior at 3.9. A video of the engine running is included in the report. About the Model

The second generation of the Buick Skylark made its debut in 1968. While Detroit was assembling large-capacity engines in large cars, Buick was no exception in the GM line. Available with two or four doors and in a convertible top or even a station wagon, the Skylark was the base variant, followed by the Skylark 350, Custom, and GS Sport coupe. Buick offered an inline six-cylinder, a 350ci V8, a 400ci V8, and a 455ci V8. By 1972 new emissions standards restricted the engines in the Skylark, and Buick ended the model after two years, replacing it with the Buick Century. In 1975, the Skylark name was brought back for a third generation.
