LEAD TECHNICIAN: DALLAS, TEXAS

As part of The FJ Company’s expansion plan, we are creating service and demo hubs in different states in the US. Our second such hub will be in Dallas, Texas. 

The Lead Technician in Dallas will be primarily responsible for servicing The FJ Company customers in Texas, and will perform warranty service, upgrades, and regular maintenance of vehicles. The role will be supervised by Cody Warner, Chief Technician for The FJ Company.  

Secondary responsibilities include supporting customers over the phone when they have technical issues with their vehicles, helping customers with the logistics of servicing and repairing their vehicles (coordinating pick ups and deliveries), and occasionally representing the company in sponsored events (rallys, trail runs, auctions, etc).

The position requires travel for training to both Miami and Bogota once or twice per year, occasional travel to neighboring States to address emergency service calls, and occasional travel to company sponsored events (rallys, trail runs, auctions, etc). In all, we expect the position to require traveling 20% of the time.

To be successful in this position, the candidate must demonstrate a high degree of technical and mechanical understanding of Toyota Land Cruisers, must be proactive, self motivated, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role required.

As part of The FJ Company’s expansion plan, we are creating service and demo hubs in different states in the US. Our third such hub will be in Denver, Colorado. The Colorado hub will initially serve all of its neighboring States until such time as those States have their own locations.

The Lead Technician in Denver will be primarily responsible for servicing The FJ Company customers in Colorado, and will perform warranty service, upgrades, and regular maintenance of vehicles, under the supervision of our Chief Technician. Occasionally, the role requires working on special projects for the company, such as purpose-built vehicles, demo vehicles, and such.

Secondary responsibilities include supporting customers over the phone when they have technical issues with their vehicles, helping customers with the logistics of servicing and repairing their vehicles (coordinating pick ups and deliveries), and representing the company in sponsored events (rallys, trail runs, auctions, etc).

ONLINE PRODUCT MANAGER

The Online Product Manager at Classic Motors is a new role, created to manage the digital experience  for our web properties – currently including: Classic.com, FJ.co, and DriveStraat.com, with additional brands expected over time. You will work within a team of developers, designers, and marketers to support, update and build products that enable potential customers to experience our brand and custom-order our vehicles online. The Online Product Manager is the voice of the business to the Technology team, and is accountable for the vision, scope, and scale of the online products. This is a full-time role based in Miami, FL. 

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead UX for all aspects of our web presence, ensuring that we are delivering the best user experience across all interactions with our brands online
  • Derive project roadmap from business requirements, and communicate status against roadmap regularly to stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress throughout the development process, adapting requirements as needed based on new requests, technical issues as they arise or business development-related requests
  • Research potential feature updates and build them into the product roadmap
  • Manage sprint planning, and retrospectives (Note: we don’t follow “scrum” religiously, but we develop processes that work for the team). 
  • Lead QA of all features, ensuring full testing

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Competencies 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years in technology product management and/or digital marketing
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred - Fluency in English required. 
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across diverse groups, including UX design, creative, development, and QA - work prioritization and planning
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving meaningful results
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, cross-collaboration and team skills
  • Knowledge of E-commerce business KPIs and technologies
  • Solid technical background that supports you in providing guidance to the team.
  • A nuanced sense of when to strongly advocate for a position and when to seek compromise.
