In 1969, Alfa Romeo introduced the Junior Z. Based on the GT 1300 Junior, the Junior Z sported a sleek Zagato designed body powered by a 1.3L inline four. This model was produced until 1972 when Alfa introduced the 1600 Junior Z, which sported the same design, but was now fitted with a 1.6L inline four, and slightly longer body. Less than 1,500 examples of Zagato bodied GT Junior cars were built before the end of production in 1975.
