The Bently Continental GT Coupe was reintroduced for the 2011 model year as part of the 2nd generation Continental GT. The 2nd gen Coupe was launched with two different engine choices: an updated version of the 6.0L W12 used in the previous generation, and a new 4.0 L twin-turbo V8, both with variable displacement technology. In 2014, the V8 engine was also made available as a Continental GT V8 S, which featured a series of performance upgrades for the V8 variant. The 2nd Gen GT Coupe was also made available in Speed trim very shortly after its launch in 2012, with other special versions and trims appearing throughout its production run. In 2015, the Continental GT received several aesthetic and technical updates, which were featured in the post-2015 cars until 2018, when the 3rd Gen Continental GT was launched.
