Renault Sport Spider (1996 to 1999)

The Renault Sport Spider was a series of sporty roadsters introduced in 1996. The Spider was built by Renault Sport, so it is also known as the Renault Sport Spider. Renault created the Spider in order to give the company a sporty model, which it had not had since the 1996 Renault 5 Turbo II. The Spider was offered as a two door open top roadster powered by a 148hp mid-mounted 2.0L inline four engine. The most interesting option available for the Spider was the choice of a front windscreen, or a front wind deflector. Production of the Renault Spider ended in 1999 with around 1800 examples built.
