The first generation of Aston Martin Vanquish was introduced for the 2002 model year. Designed by Ian Callum, the grand tourer is powered by a 5.9L V12 engine producing 460hp. The first generation Vanquish signaled a change for Aston Martin, as it marked the use of new manufacturing methods. These cars were still handbuilt and maintained their high levels of craftsmanship, while modernizing their construction methods. The Vanquish is also well known for its appearance in the 2002 James Bond movie "Die Another Day." Well-received and successful, the Vanquish was a great start to the new era at Aston Martin. Over the course of production, two main variants were produced, the Vanquish Base Model, which was the launch specification, and the Vanquish S, which was the facelift.
