The Type 2 T2 Deluxe Microbus was very much the same standard T2 Microbus but equipped with optional extras which made it a more high end passenger van. Offerings such as a steel sliding sunroof, dash mounted clock, jail bars on the rear and side windows, among others,  added value to the Model series. The T2 Deluxe Microbus was powered by flat-four engines, driving the rear wheels. The T2 Microbus was built until 1979 in Germany, 1994 in Mexico and 2013 in Brazil. The T2 Deluxe Microbus ended production 2013 even though the T3 Passenger van was being built since 1979.
