Alfa Romeo introduced the 6C 2500 in 1938. Powered by a 2.5L inline six engine in various states of tune, these new 6C variants were available in three wheelbase lengths as well as various body styles. There are also many coachbuilt versions, but the large marjority were bodied by Touring. Notable variants include the Super Sport and the Freccia d'Oro (golden arrow). While the 6C 2500 had a troubled early life due to WW2, after the war, the model sold well and was in production until 1952.
