Alfa Romeo introduced the 8C Competizione for the 2007 model year. A limited production model, the 8C Competizione was a V8 powered high performance sports car first available as a Coupe, then later as a Spider. Powered by a Ferrari sourced 4.7L V8 engine, the 8C Competizione was not so much praised for its dynamic abilities as much as its beauty. Designed by Wolfgang Egger, the 8C Competizione drew wide praise and admiration for its styling, becoming an instant classic. A total of 1,000 examples of the 8C Competizione were built, 500 coupes and 500 spiders, before the end of production in 2010.
