The AMC Hornet was a series of compact cars introduced for the 1970 model year. The Hornet was offered in four distinct body styles: two door sedan, four door sedan, station wagon, and hatchback. One of the most notable variants was the dramatic Hornet AMX. A wide range of inline six and V8 engines were available for the Hornet, which was produced until 1977.
