Debuting in 1971, the Base Model was the entry-level variant for the 2nd Gen AMC Javelin. Over the course of production, these cars were available with two inline six engines, as well as a selection of optional V8s, ranging from 304ci to 401ci in displacement. These engines were paired to manual or automatic transmissions, with drive being sent to the rear wheels. Production of the AMC Javelin ended in 1974.
