The AMC Javelin was a series of pony cars introduced for the 1968 model year. The Javelin was only offered as a four seat, two door coupe powered by a variety of inline six and V8 engines. AMC sold the Javelin in a wide range of trim and performance levels, and built the car in two generations: 1st Gen (1968-1970) and 2nd Gen (1971-1974). The AMC Javelin also had a notable history in motorsports, with numerous Race Cars built.
