The AMC Pacer was a series of compact cars introduced for the 1975 model year. The Pacer was offered as a hatchback or station wagon, and was available with a choice of two inline six (3.8L, 4.2L) or one 5.0L V8 engine. The Pacer was noted for its styling and layout, which was rather different than many of the larger cars being produced in America. While the Pacer was not a great sales success, the model remains popular amongst enthusiasts and collectors due to the cars appearance in the 'Wayne's World' movies. While Production of the Pacer ended in 1979, some models were sold later due to a surplus of stock.
