The AMC Rebel was a series of mid-sized cars introduced for the 1966 model year. For the first year of production, the Rebel was sold under the Rambler badge, but from 1967 onwards, the Rebel was an AMC model. The Rebel was available as a sedan, convertible, coupe, or station wagon, and was offered with a selection of inline six or V8 engine options. The most notable Rebel variant was The Machine, a powerful performance variant only sold for the 1970 model year, which would be the last year of AMC Rebel production. Other variants built included the Base Model and the SST.
