The Atom 3 is a lightweight sports car introduced by Ariel in 2007. This high performance, rear wheel drive, open top car features an exposed chassis and is fitted with minimal body work in its Standard version. It marked a significant step forward in the evolution of the Atom, cementing its status as one of the most extreme and lightest sports cars on the market. It was the first generation to be widely distributed in North America. During its years of production it evolved to the Atom 3.5 with higher performance vehicles introduced: SRA, 3S, 3R and 3RS. Its chassis was also used for the Atom V8 version. With a manual transmission and a 2.0L or 2.4L inline four engine, the Atom 3 was produced until 2020.
