The follow-up to Aston Martin's DB2/4 was unveiled to the world in 1957. The DB Mark III was not so much a new model, as much as it was an evolution of the previous DB2/4. Continuing the use of the updated Lagonda 3.0L straight six engine, the DB Mark III featured 162hp, or 178hp when fitted with the optional dual exhaust. The DB Mark III was offered in three distinct body styles: A 2+2 hatchback, a fixed head coupe, and a drophead coupe. Built until 1959, the DB Mark III was replaced by the DB4.
