The automatic-equipped S5 Coupe was a variant of the 1st Gen Audi S5 that was introduced for the 2008 model year. These performance focused cars were initially powered by a 350hp 4.2L V8 engine, which was replaced by a supercharged 320hp 3.0L V6 for the 2013 model year. These engines were both equipped with a 6 speed automatic transmission, with performance of both engines being very comparable due to the weight savings gained by using a lighter V6 engine. Production of the 1st Gen S5 Coupe - Automatic ended in 2016 when Audi introduced the 2nd Gen A5.
