The first generation Buick Super was introduced for the 1940 model year. The Super was the follow up to the mid range Buick Series 50 line. The first generation Super was offered in a wide variety of body styles and was fitted with a 4.1L inline eight engine. Production of the first generation Super continued until 1941 when it was replaced by the Second Generation Buick Super.
