The Cadillac Seville was first introduced in 1975, as a 1976 model, as the successor of the Cadillac Calais. The 1st Gen Seville was powered by either a gasoline 5.7L V8 or Diesel 5.7L V8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox that sent power to the rear wheels. Production of the 1st generation Seville lasted until 1979 when the 2nd generation was presented as a 1980 model.
