Optional V-8 engines included a 300 hp (220 kW) 350 and 265 hp (198 kW) 400, with the top offering a 454 cu in (7,440 cc) of 345 hp (257 kW). The sixth generation Bel Air was built until 1970, and was replaced by the Seventh Generation Chevrolet Bel Air.
