The 5.7L LT-1 V8 motor used in the 4th Gen Z28 was the engine first featured in the B4C before the use of the LS-1 V8. These models were purposely stripped-down air-conditioned hardtops, they also had heavy duty batteries and alternators installed. The B4C had many 1LE high performance handling components, a limited slip differential, 4-wheel disc brakes, a transmission oil cooler (on automatics), engine oil cooler, and initailly a 150mph speedometer. The 2000-2002 models were only available with an automatic transmission.
