Since its early years, Chevrolet had built trucks based on their full-size car offerings, usually sharing the same platform. This trend continued with the introduction of the Chevrolet Master & Standard in 1933. These trucks were built in a variety of configurations, including 1/2-ton, and 3/4-ton pickups, flatbeds, and panel trucks. This family of rear wheel drive pickups were powered by a 3.5L inline six and were built until 1940, when they were replaced by the Chevrolet AK Series.
