The 3rd Generation of the Dodge Polara debuted for the 1965 model year. The 3rd Gen Polara saw the model grow to a full-size model after its previous generation was sold as a mid-size offering. This larger generation was built in coupe, sedan, convertible, and station wagon body styles, with a selection of V8 engine options ranging from 318ci to 440ci. Regardless of the engine, 3 speed manual and automatic transmissions were available. Production of the 3rd Gen Polara ended in 1968 when it was replaced by the 4th Gen Dodge Polara.
