The second generation Dodge Ramcharger was introduced for the 1981 model year. The second generation Ramcharger saw its styling updated to fall in line with the Dodge Ram, as well as its open top construction changed to a fixed roof. Four wheel drive or rear wheel drive versions were available, as were two (5.2L, 5.9L) V8 engine options. Production of the second generation Ramcharger ended in 1993, when the model was put on hiatus until the introduction of the Third Generation Dodge Ramcharger in 1999.
