The Ferrari 488 Pista is an updated variant of the 488 mid-engine coupe. The new version included more power from the 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 reaching about 720hp. Diffusers were added to the body to increase aerodynamics. The track-focused car received lighter interior and carbon fiber exterior components to make the car light on its feet. Other closely related variants include the Pista Spider and the Pista 'Piloti Ferrari'.
