The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (GTB or coupé) - Manual was the first in a successful series of F355 models, replacing the Ferrari 348 GTB. It was powered by a 3.5 Liter V8 with a 5-valve cylinder head, capable of 375 hp, driving power to the rear via a 6-speed manual transmission. Ferrari produced 3,829 coupes equipped with the 6-speed manual and eventually (in 1998) another 1,042 F355 coupes with the F1 automatic transmission. The F355 Spider - Manual followed shorlty after the introduction of the Berlinetta. The F355 Berlinetta's direct successor was the Ferrari 360 Modena in 1999.
